Logan Utah Engagement Photographer
Tucked in the mountains of Northern Utah is a lovely little lake called Bear Lake. At about 7 miles wide and 18 miles long, it's a nice size for a variety of recreational activites. As wedding photographers, one of our favorite things to do there is photograph it! With breathtaking sunsets, clear blue green water and sandy beaches, it's no wonder it's a sought after picture destination.
For this photo, we were at the dock on the west side of Bear Lake. This is April in Utah. Let me tell you about April. The weather is minute by minute. One minute, cold and rainy, then nice and warm the next. Regardless, in April, the snow has only recently melted, if it has melted. Needless to say, the water is cold! Kyleigh and Riley were great sports and stuck their feet into the water. At least until they couldn't stand it anymore. It was pretty much ice water.
Even with the ice water, the sweetness of their interaction was evidence. They have a strong love and treat each other like gold. We truly enjoyed watching these two with their playful personalities. We all spent the whole afternoon and evening of photo taking laughing, smiling and genuinely having a good time. If you look closely, you can also see that their clothing pretty much matches the sunset. How well planned was that? (Okay, sometimes a little luck is involved.)
All of those elements together made for a lovely session. Fun, location, love, water, sunsets... picture heaven! Location: Bear Lake, Utah.
